Ahead of Primavera Sound 2025 descending onto Barcelona this week, we round up the best acts performing that you might not yet know about.

One of Europe’s biggest and most revered festivals returns to the Barcelona seafront this week. Primavera Sound has long been considered a bucket-list occasion for music lovers, and in recent years has hit new heights with mouth-watering line-ups and the promise of a city break in one of the continent’s most culturally resonant locations.
This year, though, Primavera broke the internet. Amassing a trio of headliners that had the pop girlies in meltdown, the festival announced that Sabrina Carpenter, Charli xcx and Chappell Roan would be their holy trinity of performers. Atop of this, there will be career-defining sets from some of the best of the rest: Irish troubadours Fontaines D.C., global rap heavyweight Central Cee, British boundary-pushers Wolf Alice, production mogul Jamie xx, US rap favourites Denzel Curry and Aminé, etc, etc.
But whilst there’s plenty of theatrics for the more casual music fan to take in, there’s also a multitude of lesser known acts to uncover. Many will be aware of some of these acts (or all if you’re on my level of nerd), but make sure you check out the ones you don’t — you might be about to find your new favourite artist on the northeastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula.
